This self-guided tour features some of Kenton County’s finest farms, exciting interactive activities and the chance to discover the roots of food grown in our region.

Tour-goers can get up close to a real dairy operation at EdMar Dairy, purchase their fall pumpkins at The Pumpkin Patch, take a hayride at Poverty Hollow Farms, and learn about heritage livestock at Rising Phoenix Farm.  If you are a foodie, you may enjoy produce from the Independence Farmers’ Market, taste the local vintage at Atwood Hill Winery and Redman’s Farm and Winery, visit a bramble berry patch at Bright Star Acres, and even take a short trip down the bayou to Bluegrass Shrimp and Fish Farm.  If you would like to experience farm animals up close, then Triple J Beef and Goat Farm is your place.  Flower lovers are going to love the 2,000 sq. ft., U-pick bouquet cut flower field at Kenton County Extension Office.  For those who grew up on a farm or have always wanted to see into the workings of cattle operations don’t miss Hickory Ridge Farms. Halt-N-Salut Equestrian Center will be featuring Kentucky’s beautiful horse industry in their riding arena.

If you need a map, or just a break while on the tour, Kenton and Piner-Fiskburg Fire Departments will be open.  Maps and restrooms will be available the day of the tour at these fire departments and at the Kenton County Extension Office.
